Talk to your parents and friends about what it means to be a progressive
thinker. Find out what issues, social concerns, changes, etc. that progressive people,
politicians, etc. find important in todayʼs world. You can focus on your home country or
the USA. Choose one issue and write a couple paragraphs introducing the issue then
present the stance a progressive thinker would take on the issue.

To be a progressive thinker means to think very hard but through out a long time until you think that you thought is correct. It is a very long term thinking process. Usually progressive thinkers are older people with alot of power and they should think for a big group of people that are his or her followers. It is also very hard to be a progressive thinker because you always change your mind before getting the right thing.

I have had a talk with my familt members about any revolutions that have occured  in Morocco, and they really told me about one that really interested me. The one that really interested  me was about technology, it interested me because long ago Morocco was not a  a very technology country, but just a few years ago I have seen that this has changed alot. There is also another thing that I really want to mention is that the more we are living the less  expensive the technology is getting and the more technology it becomes.

Successes and Failures of Reconstruction?

In the Recunstructio there were lots of successes and lots of failures. Fortunantly there were more successes than failures. The successes were that they have done what they wanted and what they wanted was to remove slavery. Even though this wasn't all of success it had lots of positivity in it. The failures are that they did not make it last longger than it is, because if they had made it lasted longger it would completly stop slavery, but unfortunantly this still exests even though it is not every where in the world.

Here is a journal article in the New York Time

What was the “scene” right after the war with soldiers returning to their homes?

The scene right after the war when the soldiers were returning home is that they did not return as  they hoped they would return. This means that the war did not happen they wanted it to happen.

What were the changes they found?

The changes they found were that their country changed alot after the war  in both ways. It had some things that were bad but it had also somethings that were good. They also found out that their money cuurency went down, in other words which means the dollors went down.

What was the status of many African Americans? How were they being supported?

The status of many of the African Americans was no more jobs for them and also there were also free because they were defended by the northern part because the northerners did not dupport slavery. They were being supported by the Northerners bye giving them where to sleep and food for a long while.

Who was the President? How did he get to be President?

The President at that time was Abraham Lincoln which was more in the Norths idea because  he did not accept the slavery. He got to be a President because all of his country thought he was loyal and deserved to be president and also that he would do the write thing for his country.

What was the Presidentʼs plan to rebuild the South? What parts of it were similar to President Lincolnʼs?

The President's plan to rebuild the Southern part was to change it and make some people who lived in the North go to the South because he wanted the Southern part to be exactly the same as the North. The parts of it that were similar to the president Abraham Lincoln's were that they both had the same idea that the Northern part was doing the write choice.

What did you learn from watching the Ken Burnʼs Civil War video?

What i learned from Ken Burn's videos abouth the Civil War is that back then during the cCivil War the people were more attentive to what was happening around them. The Cilvil War wasn't meant to be as a war because the war was not going to happen but when the people who did not want slavery had to impose something that would not make a big deal of a war, but when the pro-slaves acted disrespectfully about the slaves there had to be something that would stop this. The only thing that started the war was the pro slaves and the anti-slaves which each defended what they thought was right.

Northern advantages versus the Southern advantages.

The northern advantages were better than the southern advantages because the northern part was closer than the southern part to the sea. This is better because the northern people had more and better transportations that came from other countries. The southern advantages were different because these didnt have the sea close to them so they had othere ways which were that they had better tools and they were closer to the other places where they could trade.

What each event was and why it is important to our study of the Civil War?

Here is the first event Compromise of 1850, second event Kansas-Nebraska Act, and finally here is the third event Presidential Election 1860. This is also very important to our study of the  Civil War because it all talks about things that lead to the war. Forexample the Compromise of 1850 was a conflict between the anti-slaves and the proslaves and this lead tothing with the government which was a big part of the Civil War.

Describe how each of the following abolitionists acted to fight against slavery?

The abolitionists all faught against slavery, they were called the anti-slaves. These people thought that slaves were people just like them and they did not deserve to be treated like them. But the people who were proslaves decided that slavery should be some thing that had to be continued because the slaves are not people like them they are different in many other ways.
